A’Tenyyu is the capital city of the kingdom of Slayers on Edin. With its jagged cliffs and spiral towers, the crash of the powerful ocean can be heard from anywhere within the city. The cries of seabirds are a familiar sound among many in this busy city. The city sprawls in tiered levels, with a large citadel and spired towers atop the stone cliff that juts out from the main wall of stone, reaching toward the sea. Here, the main portion of the city and the castle itself sit, towering over the ocean that sprawls around it.

At high noon on a sunny day, the long shadows cast by the towers spill into the narrow valleys of the cliffside roads, curving below, around, and well past the city’s limits.

The roads to the lower and upper city wind down from the main cliffside wall, eventually ascending back up to the castle perched at the edge of the city’s longest 'Arm' as the inhabitants like to refer to it, where the castle boldly stares towards the might of the glistening sea. Perhaps this location was once chosen for this very aspect?

The 'Shimmering Lights' is a common faith among the people of the Kingdom of Ashra and many within the Slayer’s Empire across the realm. The waters reflect that which they hold dear: the beauty of life and death, the natural order of existence within the realm they call home. The Shimmering Lights guide them through the darkness within the endless stretch of life’s cycling waters.

(The shimmering lights has great connection to the waters of Purgatory, albiet the people of this world know not of its existence. Somewhere along the timeline of this realm, there was knoweldege of this fact, that warped itself into a faith among the people that seek one.)

The structure of this city and its castle was built to impose strength and might for those who live within its walls, to show far and wide that it is an impenetrable fortress to those who wish you harm. Its long arms call out to you, bringing you home to safety amidst the dangers that lurk across the realm. This is a place to come when you are in need of help, and a place where you can be certain that it will be received.
